How To Claim For Terminal Illness On Your Life Insurance Policy?
The requirements for claiming benefits for terminal illness on your life insurance policy vary according to the circumstance. For an accurate list of requirements you will need to call the company’s claim consultant, but here are a few guidelines of what may be required.
You need to submit a terminal illness claim form along with the medical certification from the treating doctor. The other document is the proof of age of the insured person for which you can attach the birth certificate. You also need to surrender the original policy document but remember to keep copies with you before doing so. If the policy holder is not in a position to complete the form and submit on his own, the beneficiary or the treating doctor can do so by submitting a power of attorney. The treating doctor of the policy holder will also need to complete a medical certification. But more importantly only a registered medical practitioner can complete the certification, allied health workers are not allowed to do so and the claim may get rejected.
In addition there may be further information requested. This may include an authority to view the medical records. The company may also decide to check the medical history of the policy holder at the time when the insurance was purchased. Furthermore the company reserves the right to ask for a review of the patient by a medical practitioner either independent or designated by the company. For any additional medical evidence the company asks for beyond the initial documents the life insurance company like lifeinsurancedirect will bear the expenses.

Designer shoes of horses’ hooves
David Oldfield has spotted a German designer has created a bizarre new range of shoes - from dead animal parts. Iris Schieferstein creates high heel horse hooves, stilettos from snake skins and sandals sculpted from doves.
Ms Schieferstein, who designed a pair of horse hooves for Lady Gaga, sells the shoes for up to A$6,000.
She collects the dead animals from her local butcher in Berlin, then spends a week stripping out the meat and bones from the animal's feet before the skin is sent to a tanner to be preserved.
The sculptor then sets the skin - complete with fur still in place - around a shoe model before doing any needlework to add insoles and lining.
